Danhouse wins 2 Business Awards

Danhouse were delighted to win two awards at the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce 2019-2020 Business Awards evening held on 9th December 2020.

These were: Small Business of the Year & Employer of the Year
Danhouse was also “highly commended” in the “Best Security Business – Cyber & Physical Security” category and won praise for our Green initiatives.
Speaking at the event, Neil Barham, Danhouse’s Managing Director, said: “We are really pleased to have won these two awards. To win “Small Business of the Year” is a great honour for our company and we’re very happy that our ongoing commitment to supporting the security needs of businesses in the West London area has been recognised. We have worked very hard to develop innovative recruitment policies and provide good benefits for our staff at Treaty Centre Hounslow, so the “Employer of the Year” award also makes us very proud”.

The Small Business of the Year award was given to Danhouse in recognition of the company having achieved high standards in accreditation, with its ISO 9001/14001 & 45001 certifications. The company recognises Armed Service personnel, has signed the Armed Forces Covenant and has achieved Employer Bronze status. As a Living Wage Employer, Danhouse takes care to recognise and respect the work life balance of its staff.
The Employer of the Year award recognises Danhouse’s partnership with the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce to provide work for local people. At Hounslow’s Treaty Centre, Danhouse has employed more than 25 people in various roles, including Security, Cleaning Administration and Maintenance. Danhouse strives to recruit locally, thereby ensuring that employment opportunities are provided for residents of the local area.
Danhouse continues to focus on its Green credentials – the company has invested in a fleet of low-emission vehicles, has signed up for the “Bike2Work” Programme and runs “toolbox talks” for employees which help them understand how what they do at work can have an impact on the environment.

The awards evening, which was held to recognise and honour businesses across Hounslow and West London, was attended by over 100 people, representing the local business community. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a virtual event, taking place via Zoom. One of the highlights of the evening was a Q&A session with former Middlesex, Surrey and England cricketer, Mark Ramprakash.
