Charity, a subject close to our hearts this Christmas.

For 2023 Danhouse Security are endeavouring to make a more positive impact across the communities in which our people live and work by giving to charitable causes that our employees support and that are close to their hearts. We asked our employees to nominate charities to receive a donation from Danhouse this Christmas, and the chosen charities from all that were put forward are:

Reverse Rett

What we do: In 2007, with the successful reversal of Rett Syndrome in the lab, we entered a new era for research in which we knew a cure was possible. Over the last decade, we’ve invested in high quality research projects such as the RSRT gene therapy, and Mecp2 Consortia, which have delivered viable potential treatments to industry partners, for development into human clinical trials. In 2023, these gene therapy trials are underway. At Reverse Rett, we continue to focus on building UK infrastructure to deliver these and other disease-modifying treatments for Rett Syndrome as soon as humanly possible.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home

What we do at Battersea Dogs and Cats home: At Battersea we are here for every cat and dog and have been since 1860. Battersea aims to never to turn away a dog or cat in need of help. We give each one lots of love and expert care and get to know their characters and quirks so we can find them a new home that’s just right for them. All the knowledge we gather in our centres helps us to improve the lives of the animals we’ll never meet, through our work with other rescue organisations and charities. We also help people make informed choices when getting a pet, we provide training and welfare advice, and we campaign for changes in the law when we see that dogs and cats or their owners deserve better. We want to be here for every dog and cat, wherever they are, for as long as they need us.
